Barry Ross Arc Day - May 16th, 2026, 11am to 1pm
For the past 26 years, the Livingston Kiwanis Karnival has become more than just a fundraising vehicle. It has become a symbol of the start of the summer for the surrounding community.
On Saturday morning, May 16th, we will close the Karnival to the public and open it to the members and families of ARC of Essex County, the Horizon School and similar organizations in the area which care for the special needs of disabled people. Barry Ross, who was a past President of Livingston Kiwanis, came up with the idea in 1998, and it has been in place ever since. The club memorialized Barry upon his passing by naming ARC DAY in his memory.
Our special needs guests arrive by car, van, and private bus, eager to take part in a morning filled with anticipation, love, and joy. Last year more than 700 disabled citizens and their families enjoyed our Arc Day.
No registration required. The Karnival rides, games, and food are all free of charge to our ARC guests from 11am to 1pm on Saturday.

This day would not be possible without the hard work of the members and families of the Livingston Kiwanis Club. The expense of ARC Day has been paid for by the Regal Bank of New Jersey for the 13th year in a row. We would like to thank the Bank officers and employees for their kindness and generosity in making this event possible for these wonderful people.
Our Arc Day event is located at the Livingston Kiwanis Karnival Grounds, E. Northfield Road, next to Livingston Tire, Livingston, NJ.
